Randy Sue Collins was born and raised in beautiful northern California. Her love of the Wine Country is evidenced in her realistic landscape paintings.

“Every time I drive into Sonoma Valley, I know I’m home. I feel so fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Every season brings it’s own color palette to the local scenery which inspires me to capture it on canvas using either oil or acrylic paints. I have to paint. It’s as much a part of my life as eating and sleeping.”

The positive response to her early paintings of nature and animals inspired her as a young artist to continue to create. She spent all available monies on art supplies and soon she was accepting commissions for pet portraits and local scenery.

In 1988 Randy moved to England where she was able to turn her artwork into a full time business. Her tremendous success included exhibitions in several galleries in Yorkshire and the North of England. She was commissioned to paint for private collectors in Scotland, Germany, Australia, Wales and Japan.

Formerly Randy Sue Watkins, she now resides in Kenwood, California with her husband Tony Collins, her daughter Devon, son Davis, and 2 little cockapoos, Jake and Buddy.

Randy is also an avid beekeeper with a dozen hives. She’s developing new hive styles, believing a round environment is superior to the traditional square boxes.

A full time artist, mainly self-taught, she continues to paint her passion – the splendor of nature found in landscapes and animals.

Randy is also an art instructor for people of all ages and held the Art Specialist position at Kenwood Elementary School for 5 years.

Because of working with children, she developed Art Adventures with Randy Sue, a how-to-draw program in a 2 DVD set, geared for kids available on Amazon.com and ThankNature.com.

Art Adventures with Randy Sue was a winner in Fox/Channel 2’s Great American Toy Test.

Randy accepts commissions for custom paintings that make treasured keepsakes for generations to come. She loves to paint animal portraits as well as buildings, landscapes or any prized object including cars and airplanes.
